 4 Large Plantains
 Canola or Vegetable Oil
 Salt To Taste

Begin warming oil in a pan to around 350 degrees (177 Celsius)

Peel off skins.

Cut into 1 to 1 ½ inch (25-30 millimeter) circles.

Without crowding the pan place plantains in oil for 5 minutes or so.

Remove and place on paper towels, smash with wooden spoon, place back in oil for a minute or so.

Remove and place on paper towels and salt to taste.

7

Serve warm.
