The Zucchini adds both bulk, vitamins,<br \/>\nfiber, and a surprisingly good flavor. If done out camping use 6-8 coals underneath in the center<br \/>\nof the dutch oven and 1` ring around the top. Be prepared to replace them every hour, so start<br \/>\na second set half an hour after you replace a set. Alternatively it works well on a propane stove,<br \/>\nbut make sure you have plenty of fuel. Use paper towels to remove most of the grease. If sausage is not already fully cooked then cook it at the same time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 2\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Add everything else to the pot, mix, and cook on low of 2-3 hours.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 3\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Taste test every hour, and adjust spices to your liking. <\/p>\n<p>Not hot enough? Add crushed red pepper. Try Cumin or Curry powder. Get a bitter taste? Add a little brown sugar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 4\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Note on using beer. I find it gives a better taste than water, but you can go either way. If using beer use a good one. General rule is if you wouldn\u2019t drink it don\u2019t cook with it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 5\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, and hot sauce.
