Core and dice apple, peel if desired.  Peel and dice onion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 2\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Melt butter in a large saucepan on medium to medium high heat. Add onion cook and stir for 3 minutes or until slightly soft.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 3\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Add squash and apple. Cook for another couple minutes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 4\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Stir in chicken broth, orange juice, cinnamon and ginger. Bring to boil.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 5\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes or until squash is tender, stir occasionally.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 6\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Let soup cool a little before adding to a Blender.  Remove center stopper on blender to let steam escape.  Blend on high to puree the soup.<\/p>\n<p>Note: You may need to do this in batches or if you have an Immersion Blender.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"cooked-single-direction cooked-direction\" data-step=\"Step 7\">\n<div class=\"cooked-dir-content\">\n<p>Return puree to the saucepan, stir in the heavy cream.
